From Script to Screen to Sundance
with Roberto Fatal and Ali Meyers-Ohki
Saturday, June 21, 11am-1pm
Filmmakers Roberto Fatal and Ali Meyers-Ohki of the short film “En Memoria” share their creative journey writing, producing, directing and finally screening their film at Sundance. They will also offer up helpful tips, ideas, and advice to fellow filmmakers. Don’t forget to catch their film in the Late Night Shorts Program, 9:30pm at the Nevada Theatre.

Whether you are an emerging or established writer, director, producer, actor making your own films, SAG-AFTRA is there to help independent filmmakers, media professionals, and performers with everything from contracts/collective bargaining, discounts at chains and local businesses, eligibility for the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan, SAG-Producers Pension Plan, the AFTRA Retirement Fund, the iActor online casting database, and much more. They are also working with state and local tax incentives to benefit the film industry, particularly in California. In this informative workshop filmmakers, media professionals and local government are invited to learn more and lean into the conversation on how we can ignite the state and local creative economies, while supporting artists.
